Answers

How much does your program cost?
Our combine lease rates are based upon the separator hours used per year, the type of machine you select and your delivery date.

What assurance do I have that my combine will arrive on the day I requested?
A Customer Service Representative (CSR) from MachineryLink will contact you 45 days in advance of the delivery date specified on your contract to discuss any modification to that date.  You will receive another call from a CSR 15 days in advance of the delivery date to re-confirm and secure that date to be valid.  If your combine is late, MachineryLink will apply a penalty credit to your account for each late day.

What if my MachineryLink combine breaks down during my harvest?
In the cab of every combine is a toll-free number that connects you with one of our Technical Service Representatives (TSR) 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  In the case of a machine breakdown, contact a TSR and they will work with you to determine the best solution, and will then work with the nearest service facility to get the machine back up and running. If the service technician determines that the repair will take more than 96 hours to correct, we will locate and deliver a substitute machine to complete your harvest.

Who is responsible for repairs and maintenance costs?
MachineryLink covers the majority of routine maintenance cost and repair.  Damage caused by abuse or neglect will be charged to the customer. Minor field repairs to belts, choppers and discharge beater assembly are cost-shared.

How is the combine delivered? Do I pay for transportation to and from my farm?
MachineryLink is responsible for the delivery and pick-up of the combine at your farm.  Customers may incur additional charges if the delivery location is outside of normal shipping lanes.  Minor fuel surcharges may also be necessary to account for unstable fuel costs.

Do you provide headers and platforms?
Given the considerable distances that our combines travel, we have learned that platforms and heads incur considerable damage if shipped over the same routes.  We have chosen to only provide combines and suggest customers provide their own headers and platforms.  Our Regional Sales Managers (RSMs) are adept at assisting our customers in locating equipment as necessary.

Does MachineryLink lease tractors, planters or any other equipment?
No, we chose to focus our resources on combines, one of the most expensive and least utilized machines on the farm.

Do I have to sign a three-year lease for a combine?
The three-year lease contract is our standard program for all customers, and gives them the advantage of a fixed machine cost over the term of the agreement.  We do offer a flex option that slightly increases the first year rate, but provides a customer the option of terminating the lease at the end of the first year with no further obligations. Your Regional Sales Manager (RSM) will be more than happy to discuss these options with you.

What size of farm works for your Managed Lease program?
Our leases are tailored to the needs of each harvest season.  If you would like to join our program, your Regional Sales Manager (RSM) will consult with you to discuss options that will suit your needs and meet the qualifications for our lease contract.

What is the customer responsible for?
MachineryLink provides a field-ready combine to the customer.  The customer provides their own headers and platforms, operator, fuel and insurance, including ingestion-specific insurance.  If you do not carry your own ingestion insurance, we can provide the rider for a nominal cost.  The customer also agrees to remove major dust and debris from the machine and its bin prior to pick-up.

Can you help me sell my current machine?
Our Guaranteed Purchase Program is designed to provide an alternative for our customers to market their used combine.  Your Regional Sales Manager (RSM) will have all the details of this program.

Do your machines have 4-wheel drive (rear-wheel assist)?
Four-wheel drive is available on a portion of our John Deere  and Case models.  Please advise your Regional Sales Manager (RSM) if this is a requirement for your operation.
